The above quote is the closing line of the film. After an hour of bleak messages of the state of the world, it ends with hope. That alone is powerful in its own right. It is never too late for the individual or for society as a whole when there is still hope.
Society should be able to take the lessons from this worst case scenario and steer well away from it ever becoming a reality. The "cure" is knowledge and having your eyes opened. When you have the cure every individual has a choice. The choice between good and evil, right and wrong, exploitation and salvation, or even just the choice to live harmoniously with the world we were given.
If we don't abide by the warnings and make some changes, than maybe the real monsters we see will be ourselves.
